Fixture 1: Newcastle vs Spurs

KATHMANDU: In the second fixture of English Premier League 2018/19 this season, Rafa Benetiz’s side Newcastle United will take on Pochettino’s Spurs at St James Park at 5:15 pm NST.

The Magpies who finished 10th last season have no fitness concerns except defender Florian Lejeune who underwent a knee surgery recently whereas The Lilywhites have 9 players who only joined training on Monday after their world cup stint.

Moreover, Pochhettino will have to do without Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela who are out with injuries picked during pre-season.

The Magpies Captain Jamaal Lascelles is positive about the form his team have attained recently.

Provisional Newcastle squad: Dubravka, Darlow, Yedlin, Dummett, Manquillo, Lascelles, Clark, Schar, Shelvey, Hayden, Diame, Ki, Ritchie, Kenedy, Murphy, Atsu, Perez, Rondon, Muto, Joselu.

Provisional Tottenham squad: Lloris, Vorm, Gazzaniga, Trippier, Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Foyth, Rose, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Sissoko, Alli, Son, Moura, Llorente, Kane.

FIXTURE 2: Huddersfield vs Chelsea

Chelsea boss Sarri is set to make his premier league debut with his side clashing with The Terriers at John Smith’s Stadium at 7:45 pm NST.

Interestingly, Huddersfield have not beaten Chelsea in a league match since 1963 when both teams played in division 2. This begs the question, Can midfielder Aaron Mooy with modest records last season beat past Chelsea’s new Goalie Kepa?

Blues manager Sarri believes that his side will come out on top and become better in upcoming two-three months while The Terriers boss David Wagner says his side are ready for the big challenge.

Probable Playing XI:

Huddersfield: Lossl, Hadergjonaj, Schindler, Zanka, Kongolo, Mooy, Hogg, Van La Parra, Pritchard, Diakhaby, Mounie

Chelsea: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Luiz, Rudiger, Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Hazard, Pedro, Morata

Fixture 3: Bournemouth Vs Cardiff

Cardiff City who were promoted to EPL along with Wolverhampton this season will face Bournemouth who finished 12th last season at 7:45 NST at Dean Court.

The teams will take on each other for the first time ever in the top English league, today.

Provisional Squad:

Bournemouth: Begovic; Daniels, Ake, S Cook, A Smith; Brooks, L Cook, Surman, Fraser; Wilson, King

Cardiff: Etheridge; Peltier, Bamba, Morrison, Bennett; Gunnarsson, Paterson; Murphy, Reid, Hoilett; Zohore
