Expert Education and Visa Services is organising the Expert Cricket Festival in different cities of Australia.

Nepal national cricket team skipper Paras Khadka and his teammate Dipendra Singh Airee along with former U-19 cricketer Subash Pradhan today left for Australia to participate in the festival which will be held in four cities of Australia. They will take part in various promotional activities during their stay and also play a friendly match apart from conducting clinics for Nepali community in Australia, informed the organisers at a press meet.

The tour will begin with a programme in Melbourne on December 30, while Sydney will host the event on January 5-6 next year. Likewise, similar programme will be held in Brisbane on January 10 and Adelaide two days later. According to Pradhan, who is also the Managing Director of Nepalaya International, the event manager of the Festival, the cricketers will conduct clinics for the local players and also interact with them.

Skipper Khadka said the Festival was a great platform to take Nepali cricket to international stage. “We have taken this festival as an opportunity to promote cricket in international arena,” said Khadka, who is also the brand ambassador of Expert Education and Visa Services, which has been sponsoring cricket events in Nepal. “It will be more like an interaction tour as there are many Nepali cricketers in Australia and we have a very good relation with Australian cricketers. We can take a lot of benefit for cricket and players from Australia,” he said.

Another cricketer, Airee — who is also the skipper of Expert Dhangadhi Blues in Pokhara Premier League — thanked the organisers for coming up with the concept.

Managing Director of Expert Education and Visa Services, Khem Sharma said the festival was the continuation of their support in Nepali cricket sector. “Players need support and encouragement through various platforms and this is a small initiation taken by Expert Education and Visa Services,” said Sharma. “We hope the Nepali community in Australia will get to learn a lot from this festival.”
