Battling out a six-team competition, Sharad Vesawkar-led Pokhara Paltan made it to the finals of the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) on November 04, 2018.

Pushing other teams in the list struggling for top three position, Paltans moved atop battling out Gyanendra Malla’s Kathmandu Royals, while the other four, Rhinos, Royals and Dhangadhi Blues finished with six points each.

While Rhinos and Royals secured Eliminator berths at the second and third positions, Blues remained insignificant along with Butwal Blasters and Sandeep Lamichhane’s Titans.

Rhinos had initially missed out the chance they had to directly enter the finals through a win against Titans as of November 04, 2018.

However, the later part of the day turned a good luck Rhinos as they registered a six-wicket win against Kathmandu Royals in the eliminator round securing their place in the finals of the Namaste PPL tournament by the end of the day.

Overall, Paltan stood as the topper of the table in the round robin league of the six-team franchise-based PPL Twenty20 cricket tournament, followed by Rhinos and Royals as second and third teams respectively in the table.

Blues, Butwal Blasters and Biratnagar Titans got eliminated after the league.

The final champion of the tournament will receive a whopping NPR 2.7 million cash prize, which is the highest-ever cash prize money in the history of the domestic cricket tournament and the runners-up will receive NPR 1 million.

The final match of the tournament is going to be held between Paltan and Rhinos on November 05, 2018 at Pokhara.
