LALITPUR: Nepali tennis players Azaa Regmi and Shubhangee Laxmi Shah won the girls’ doubles title of the ATF Asian U-14 Ranking Tennis Championship here at the Lawn Tennis Complex on Thursday.

The Regmi-Shah duo defeated Indian pair of Janvi Asawa and Yumnam Thoibi 6-2, 6-4 in the final match. In boys’ doubles final, Saugat BK of Nepal and Manuraj Singh of India registered a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Nepal’s pair of Pranav Manandhar and Pritam Pariyar.

Likewise, Rayana Shah and Shubhangee Laxmi Shah advanced to the girls’ singles final, while Chirag Timilsina and Saugat BK set the boys’ section final date.

Rayana beat Azaa Regmi 6-2, 6-0, while Shubhangee defeated Yumnam Thoibi of India 6-1, 6-2.

In boys’ section, Timilsina outplayed Aki Zuben Rawat 7-6 (8), 4-6, 6-1, while BK came from a set down to beat India’s Manuraj Singh 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
