LALITPUR: A five-member team on Tuesday left for South Korea to participate in the 28th Asian Alpine Children Championships slated for March 16-17 at the Alpensia Ski Resort in Gangwon Province.

Dinesh Kumar Bohara, Umang Ranjit, Laxmi Rai and Paleesha Bajracharya will take part in the Championship to be organised by the Korean Ski Association under the aegis of the Asian Ski Federation.

Athletes from 17 countries will participate in the championship. Team Manager and coach Prabin Karmacharya accompanied the players to Korea. President of Nepal Olympic Committee and President of Nepal Ski Association Jeevan Ram Shrestha bade farewell to the team.

Secretary General of NSA Bijay Shrestha, Treasurer Jitendra Shrestha, Secretary Basanta Raj Karki and members Arjun Maharjan and Santa Maya Pariyar were also present during the farewell programme.
