JHAPA: Tribhuvan Army Club advanced to the final of the Annapurna Hamro Purbanchal International Gold Cup here on Friday.

TAC defeated Sikkim Football Club 4-3 in tie-breaker after both the teams failed to score in regulation period of 90 minutes at the Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium. Deepak Gurung, Bikash Tamang, Rajeev Gurung and Bibek Basnet scored for TAC, while skipper Tek Bahadur Budhathoki’s shot was saved by Sikkim goalkeeper Manoj Pradhan.

Likewise, Biren Pradhan, Manoj Kachwa and Karan Rai converted from the spot for Sikkim, while TAC custodial Bibas Chaudhary saved Anthony Chhetri’s shot and Bikash Chhetri struck against the cross bar.

On Saturday, Nepal Police Club will take on Church Boys United in the second semi-final match.
