Nepal Cycling Association holds press conference to inform that it is organising the 17th National MTB Cross Country Championship and ninth MTB Downhill Championship at the Gokarna Shahid Smarak Park on March 15-16.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Cycling Association is organising the 17th National MTB Cross Country Championship and ninth MTB Downhill Championship at the Gokarna Shahid Smarak Park on March 15-16.
Around 65 cyclists will take part in the cross country event, while 30 riders are expected to compete in downhill section, informed President of Nepal Cycling Association Gopal Kakshapati at a press meet on Sunday.
The Cross Country Championship features three events — Elite (men and women), Junior (boys and girls), and Master (men), while the Downhill Championship will have Elite (men and women) and Junior (boys) events. “We have prepared a 3.5km cross country route and 1.5km downhill track with the help of Gokarneshwor Municipality and the technical committee will decide the number of laps before the event,” he added.
