Three Star and NPC register victories in National League

KATHMANDU: Three Star Club and departmental team Nepal Police Club both registered victories in Pulsar Martyr’s Memorial League played at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato, today.

TSC defeated Friends Club by 2-1 and NPC edged JYC by a narrow 1-0 margin.

TSC’s Ranjan Bista and Buddha Raj Lama notched goals in each half while Friends Club Bikash Lama scored a consolation goal in the stoppage time. Later, Buddha Raj Limbu was declared man of the match.

NPC Ajit Bhandari scored the solitary goal in the 31st minute to steal three points against JYC. Tej Gurung was awarded man of the match for his match-winning performance.

In tomorrow’s game, Himalayan Sherpa Club will take on Nepal APF Mahindra Football Club at the ANFA Complex ground on 11 am and Brigade Boys Club will play against Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club at the same venue on 3 pm, according to Indraman Tuladhar, General Secretary of ANFA.

Meanwhile, Sankata Club leads the 14-team points table with three points in better goal difference to TSC and NPC.
