KATHMANDU: Times International College defeated Xavier International College 68-38 in the final of the first Inter-college (U-18) Basketball Tournament here on Sunday.
Jasman Tamang top scored for Times with 20 points. Times dominated Xavier in all four quarters.
Times took a 19-9 lead in the first quarter before extending it to 12 points by winning the second period 16-14.
Times took the match away by winning it 26-11 in the third quarter and both the teams failed to score in double digits in the final period.
Jasman Gurung of Times was declared the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Sunil Thapa of Xavier was the highest scorer.
