APF and Sankata register victories

KATHMANDU: Mahindra Armed Police Force (APF) team and CMG Club Sankata have secured victories during their Pulsar Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Monday.

10-men Sankata edged Grand Master Jwalakhel Youth Club 2-0 and APF team mustered a narrow 1-0 win over NIBL Friends Club at the Anfa Complex ground in Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Elon Maxwell was shone straight red card for a nasty foul on the opposition player in the 19th minute.

Sankata’s foreign recruit Cedric Aba scored twice in the 57th and 85th minute of the game respectively. Aba won the man of the match for his match-winning performance and bagged Rs 10, 000.

AFP’s Prabin Syangtang struck in the last minute of the game. Earlier, in the 57th minute, Prabin missed one-on-one with the goal but redeemed his glaring miss in the dying minutes of the second half.

Later, Prabin Syangtang was declared man of the match.
