KATHMANDU: Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) and Armed Police Force Club (APF) secured victories during their Pulsar Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Although CYC took an early lead but conceded two late goals in the second half to capitulate victory to SYC at the ANFA Complex Ground in Satodobato today.

CYC’s Sajin Thapa Magar pounced on defensive lapse to open the scoring in the 14th minute. SYC’s Manish Thapa equalised with a sensational goal from a dead-ball situation in the 86th minute.

SYC’s foreign recruit Francis Okechuku scored a winning goal, probably the last kick of the match in the deep stoppage time of second half to give all valuable three points to his team. Later, SYC’s Pradip Bhandari was awarded man of the match award.

In another departmental derby, APF playing at its home ground trounced Nepal Police Club to register a comfortable victory at the Halchowk Ground.
