Dauphins enter semi-finals

Dauphins Family Club of Cameroon advanced to the semi-finals of the 21st Budha Subba Red Bull Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Dharan Stadium today.

The Cameroonian side defeated Nepal APF Club 2-0 in the fourth and final quarter-final match of the tournament.

Dauphins will now face Nepal Police Club in the semi-final match on Friday. Njam Yannic scored both the goals for Dauphins, who are playing their fourth tournament in their maiden visit to Nepal. Dauphins had defeated Nepal APF Club 1-0 to win the title of the Manakamana Cable Car Pokhara Gold Cup earlier this week.

Yannick put the visitors ahead in the ninth minute before Yannick doubled the tally in fifth minute after resumption.

Yannick was named the man of the match and he earned Rs 15,000. On Thursday, Dharan Football Club will take on CMG Club Sankata in the first semi-final match of tournament.
