DHADING: Amrawati Secondary School has bagged a cash prize of Rs 50,000 after winning the first of its kind District level Inter-school Dandi Biyo Tournament held in Dhading on Wednesday.
The organisers – Dhading Scout and Nepal Dandi Biyo Association – said that the competition was organised to attract and inform youth about the sport that was once rooted in our culture.
“We believe events such as these would help to preserve the Nepali sport of Dandi Biyo that is slowly dying out,” officials of the Association said.
