JHAPA: Horizon won the title of the Nepal Basketball League 3X3 East here on Tuesday.
Horizon defeated Itahari Stags 15-13 in the all-Dharan final in Birtamode. Kabin Magar of Horizon top scored with eight points.
Horizon and Stags earned Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. Earlier, Stags defeated Eastern Swish 21-17, while Horizon beat Bal Kalyan Vidhya Mandir 21-8 in the semi-final matches.
A total of six teams — top two each from tournaments held in Dharan, Biratnagar and Birtamode — took part in the finals of the tournament organised by NBL and Play for Deprived Children Nepal.
The organisers will now hold similar tournaments in Western Region. Pokhara, Butwal and Dhangadhi will host the preliminary round tournaments and top two each from three cities will play in the NBL 3X3 West finals in Dhangadhi.
