Jhapa clinched the title of Katari Goldcup

Rumpum Jhapa 11 won the fourth round of Katari Football Goldcup. Former winner Jhapa has defeated the Sankta Club in tie-breaker by 4-2 in the final and won a five lakh prize.

Jhapa is the first edition winner. Subcontinent Sankata got 2 lakh 51 thousand rupees.

In Tie-breaker, Karna Limbu of Jhapa, Devendra Tamang, Bishal Gurung and Prabesh Gurung scored.

From Sankata, Hem Thapamagar and Sajan Rai scored only in the free shoot. The game was pushed to the tie breaker after the scheduled time and 15 minutes could not be scored on both sides.

In the first half, Sankata’s  Thapamagar’s friction bar goal and became unfortunate for the team. The two teams could not score.

Jhapa ‘s Bikash Gurung was the best player in the tournament. He received a mountain bike. Pratap Rai from Katari stood as the emerged star. He got 5 thousand prizes.
