MMC record straight tenth win; APF beat TAC 2-1

KATHMANDU: Signature Manang Marsyangdi Club have recorded straight tenth win of the campaign by securing a narrow 1-0 win over Nepal Police Club and Mahindra Armed Police Force Club beat Tribhuvan Army Club 2-1 in their Pulsar Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League in Kathmandu, on Sunday.

MMC foreign recruit Adelaja Somide scored a wonderful goal in the second half which ultimately proved to be decisive in a clash of titans at the ANFA Complex Ground. MMC maintain a lead of 5-point over Sankata Club in the table.

Later, skipper Biraj Maharjan was declared man of the match for his overall performance and bagged a cash purse of Rs 10,000.

Likewise, in other departmental teams clash, APF’s Ashish Lama scored a brace to defeat TAC at the ANFA Complex Ground in Satdobata. Lama struck on the 52nd and 85th minute before Nawayug Shrestha notched a goal in the 86th minute of the second half.

Lama was declared man of the match.

Meanwhile, MMC lead the 14-team table on 30 points from 10 matches and New Road Team (NRT) remain on the bottom with four points.
