Nepal defeat Bhutan climbing the point table

KATHMANDU: Nepal beat Bhutan by 141 runs in the ongoing South Asian Games at TU Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Bhutan won the toss and called Nepal to bat first.

Starting the first inning, Nepal made a total of 236 runs in all 20 overs, losing only three wickets. Nepal’s skipper Gyanendra Malla made the highest score of 107 runs in just 55 balls.

In reply, Bhutan could make only 95 runs, losing six wickets, in all 20 overs. Ranjung Mikyo Dorji made the highest score of 27 runs.

Paras Khadka took two wickets for Nepal. Similarly, Pawan Sharaf, Karan KC and Lalit Rajbanshi took a wicket each.
