KATHMANDU: With a brilliant century from Skipper Gyanendra Malla, Nepal have set a target of 237 runs against Bhutan in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games at TU Cricket Ground, on Thursday.
Skipper Malla scored 107 runs in just 55 balls with nine sixs and five fours. With this, he became second Nepali captain after Paras Khadka to score a century in the T20 International Tournament.
Nepal made 236 runs, losing three wickets in the 20-over match. This is the highest score Nepal has ever made in the T20 format.
Paras Khadka scored 57 runs in 28 balls, with one six and nine fours. Similarly, Rohit Kumar Paudel added six runs.
Dipendra Singh Airee and Ashif Sheikh remained not out with 45 and four runs respectively. Karma Dorje and Tobden Singe respectively took two and one wicket for Bhutan.
