KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Saudi Arabia and advanced to the men’s Team Recurve category final of the second ISSF International Solidarity Archery Championship in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Tuesday.

The Nepali team of Tilak Pun Magar, Roshan Nagarkoti and Ashim Sherchan defeated Saudi Arabia 27-25 in shoot out after the two teams were tied on four points after winning two sets each in regulation play, informed Nepal Archery Association President Deepak Gurung. Nepal will face hosts Bangladesh in Wednesday’s final.

Players from 20 countries of four continents, including nine archers from Nepal, are taking part in the tournament organised by Islamic Solidarity and Sports Federation.
