Around 1,200 players from across the country will take part in the three-day tournament that features 100 each gold and silver medals and 200 bronze medals, informed Association’s Nepal Chapter President Keshav Thapa at a press meet on Monday.
The tournament features four categories — senior, junior, cadet and poomsae. The top two teams of the tournament will receive Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively, while the two best players — one each in men and women sections — will earn Rs 10,000 each. All the participants of the tournament will have one-year health insurance.
The Everest World Class Taekwondo Association, based in the United States, will host the tournament in 2020, while the next edition will be held in Nepal.
