KATHMANDU: Nepal Sepak Takraw Association is organising the third South Asian Sepak Takraw Tournament from June 22-24 at the Nepal Army Sports Complex in Lalitpur.

A total of 60 players — 30 each in men’s and women’s sections — from five nations will take part in the three-day tournament that offers four gold medals, informed NSTA President Netra Bahadur Gurung at a press meet.

The men’s section features two categories Regu and Quad, while women players will fight for gold medals in Regu and Double sections.

Nepal had won two each silver medals in men’s and women’s sections in the second edition of the event held in Sri Lanka.

NSTA is also organising referee seminar on the sidelines of the event and President of Asian Sepak Takraw Federation Dato Haji Abdul Halim Bin Kader has already arrived Kathmandu to conduct the course.
