KATHMANDU: Aisha Tamang of Tribhuvan Army Club and Keshari Ale Magar of Kaski Archery Club entered the women’s Individual Recurve event final of the Laxman Kumar Shrestha Memorial fifth National Indoor Archery Tournament here at the NSC Covered Hall on Monday.

Tamang defeated her elder sister and fellow TAC archer Gyanu Awale 6-4, while Magar outplayed Rojina Thapa of Kaski 6-2 in the semi-finals.

In men’s section semi-finals, Roshan Nagarkoti of TAC defeated Deu Bahadur Roka of Kaski and Laxman Pun of Traditional Archery Club beat TAC’s Prem BK by identical scores of 6-2.

In men’s Individual Standard event, TAC’s Prabin Gurung and Traditional’s Prem Kumar Bhattachan made it to the final, while Archana Thapa Magar and Selina Gurung entered the final in women’s category.

In men’s Individual Compound event, Prajeet Agrawal and Sanatan Malla advanced to the final, while TAC and Traditional entered the men’s Recurve Team event. Annapurna and West made it to the men’s Standard Team event final.

A total of 55 archers are taking part in seven events of the two-day tournament organised by Nepal Archery Association.
