Tamang, Shah, Acharya claim golf titles

Kathmandu, June 23

Ritesh Tamang, Kashmira Shah and Sadbhav Acharya won the titles of the All Nepal Junior and Women Open Golf Tournament at the par-68 Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stroke play format, Tamang finished first in the boys’ U-17 age category with the score of five-over 73, while Krishna Pariyar came second with the score of 81.

Prince Bhandari was third on count back after he was tied on 15-over 83 with Shashwat Pradhan.

Shah won the women’s section trophy with the score of 10-over 78, while Arshiya Banu was second at 86 and Sushma Koirala third at 87.

Acharya was the lone participant in the U-13 category and he scored 21-over 87 to claim the trophy.

A total of 13 players took part in the one-day tournament organised by Nepal Golf Association under the Mountain Sports Festival. NGA Junior Director Deepak Acharya, Member Madan Rana and RNGC Head Pro Deepak Thapa Magar handed over the prizes to the winners.
