Martyrs Memorial A Division League

Lalitpur, December 19

Ruslan Three Star Club played a 1-1 draw with Tribhuvan Army Club in the Pulsar Martyrs Memorial A Division League here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.

After a goalless draw in the first half, Nirajan Khadka opened the scoring for Three Star in the 70th minute, while George Prince Karki netted the equaliser for TAC.

Following their first win, Three Star remained at third position with 22 points, while TAC are fourth with 18. Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club lead the table with 27 points, while CMG Club Sankata are second with 24.

Khadka put Three Star ahead in the 70th minute with a half volley following a short pass from Ajayi Martins Kayode inside the penalty box. At a time when the match was heading towards the end, Karki produced the moment of brilliance in the fourth minute of the injury time to level the scores and share points.

Earlier, Three Star’s Martins ended up with a wide shot in the 16th minute, while TAC’s Santosh Tamang also missed the target by small margin two minutes later. Mikchen Tamang’s attempt in 30th minute was saved by TAC goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu.

Likewise, Three Star custodian denied TAC’s Santosh Tamang in the 45th minute.

Three Star’s Anil Gurung was unlucky in the 87th minute when his attempt hit the post in one-on-one with Kuthu.

The day’s another match between Nepal Police Club and Brigade Boys Club also ended in a 1-1 draw. Ritik Khadka opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he found the back of the nets following a pass from Kazeem Adezoke Busar.

NPC levelled the scores in the 75th minute. Abhishek Rijal scored the equaliser on a pass from Dinesh Rajbhandari.

With their third draw, NPC are at the fifth position with 14 points, while Brigade Boys Club have five points in the league.
