The world No 1 ended a stellar year with the WTA Finals trophy – and a £3.4m cheque – after beating the defending champion 6-4, 6-3

Barty produced one of the best matches of her career today and at just 23 years old, this is only the beginning. Despite how dramatically her life has changed this year, Barty has been consistent throughout this year and her form hasn’t dipped.
