SURKHET: New Horizon and Tribhuvan Army Club registered victories in the Wai Wai Karnali Premier League here on Friday. New Horizon of Butwal defeated Mahendranagar Cricket Academy by 71 runs.
New Horizon posted 166-4 in 20 overs before packing Mahendranagar for 95 runs with five balls to spare. Man-of-the-match Sunil Dhamala top scored for New Horizon with 40-ball 60 hitting eight fours and two sixes, while Shakti Gauchan was the pick of the bowlers taking 3-23 from four overs. In another match, TAC registered a 58-run victory over Laligurans Cricket Club of Jhapa.
TAC scored 176-9 in 20 overs riding on 49 from Raju Rijal and 42 from man-of-the-match Kushal Malla.
In reply, Laligurans reached 118-9 with TAC bowlers Jitendra Mukhiya, Hari Chauhan and Bhim Sharki taking two wickets each.
