POKHARA: Western Regional Volleyball Association won the title of the Beach Volleyball Tournament here on Sunday.
Western team of Bhupendra Gurung and Ramesh Karki defeated Nepal APF Club ‘A’ team of Kul Bahadur Karki and Bhoj Bahadur BK 21-19, 21-19 in the final match at the Barahighat courts.
Western Region received Rs 30,000 along with trophy and medals, while APF earned Rs 20,000. Western’s Bhupendra Gurung was adjudged the best player of the tournament and he received Rs 5,000.
Gandaki Province Member of Parliament Rajiv Pahari, Kaski District Sports Development Committee President Yam Bahadur Gurung and Kaski District Volleyball Association President Bhim Parajuli handed over the prizes to the winners.
